🔍 Exploring NSF Reviewer Opportunities + Startup Highlights

Hey Simpler team and fellow innovators,

I recently completed my reviewer profile for NSF’s Research.gov and wanted to highlight what I see as a powerful opportunity for founders like us to grow in parallel with our ventures.

:white_check_mark: Becoming an NSF reviewer not only gives you a front-row seat to how proposals are assessed, but also helps strengthen your own future submissions. For those of us building science/tech-driven startups, it’s a unique way to align with the funding ecosystem from the inside.

:loudspeaker: I also enjoyed reading the April NSF SBIR/STTR startup highlights—especially companies like Graymatter Robotics and Electra, who are pushing the boundaries of manufacturing and industrial innovation.

My own startup, InterGemm, is building AI-driven CNC and laser technology platforms. Seeing how other NSF-funded startups evolved from concept to commercialization is both motivating and instructive.

If anyone else is considering the reviewer path or studying SBIR-funded startups as inspiration—happy to connect.

:rocket: Let’s keep learning, building, and elevating together.
